From the first phone call to the time you walk through and then to scheduling you next cleaning, Dr. Veiga's staff is here to help you in every part of your continuing dental health expirience. Each part of Dr. Veiga's team plays an important part in the office- take a moment to meet everyone below!

Front Office

Mikayla

Mikayla started at Dr. Veiga's office in January 2017 during her Junior Year of High School. She graduated from Holy Cross High School in Waterbury in 2018 and has been working in dentistry for these past 2 1/2 years. She is also CPR certified. During the school year, Mikayla is an honors student at Quinnipiac University, enrolled in the 6 year Law Program, and spends her summers and academic breaks at Dr. Veiga's office. When she isnt at the office, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, but especially her dog!   

Angela

 Angela began working at Dr. Veiga's office in July of 2018 after being in the dentistry field for over 7 years. In 2012, Angela graduated from Porter and Chester Institute with a degree in Dental Assisting, and is CPR Certified. At the beginning of her dental career, Angela began as a dental assistant but was shortly thereafter introduced to the front office and has loved it ever since! Outside of the office, Angela most enjoys spending time with her family- her son Jameson, her husband Eduardo, and their German Shepard, Gemma, and exploring new things with her toddler.

Juliana

Juliana started woring at Dr. Veiga's office in July 2019. Prior to her start at the office. Juliana grduated from Post Univeristy in May 2019, where she was the captain of the Tennis team and earned her degree in marketing. Juliana is also CPR certified. When she is not in the office, she most enjoys working out, going to the gym, and spending time with her friends and family!

Hygiene

Dawn, RDH

Dawn is one of our two wonderful dental hygenists commited to keeping your smile healthy at every six-month check up. Dawn graduated from the University of Bridgeport after completeing their extensive dental hygiene program in 1993, after which she became a Registered Dental Hygienist and is CPR certified. And since 1998, Dawn has been part of Dr. Veiga's team. Outside of the office, Dawn enjoys spending time with her family, her husband and 3 kids, her friends, her garden, and also her health! 

Elisa, RDH

Elisa is one of our two wonderful dental hygenists commited to keeping your smile healthy at every six-month check up. Elisa graduated from Briarwood College in Southington in 2012 with her degree in Dental Hygiene after completeing their comprehensive program, and is currently a Registered Dental Hygienist and CPR certified. Since 2013, Elisa has been part of Dr. Veiga's team. Outside of the office, Elisa enjoys going to the gym, the outdoors, and spending time with her friends and family!

Assistants

Adriana

Adriana joined Dr. Veiga's team, in October of 2017 as one of Dr. Veiga's dental assistants. Prior to her start, Adriana graduated from Central Connecticut State University in 2008 with a degree in Business Administration, and began as an Orthodontic Assistant in 2009. Adriana is currently certified in Orthodontic Assisting and Radiation as well as CPR. Outside of the office, Adriana lives with her husband and 4 year old daughter. She enjoys spending time with her daughter going to parks, museums, and the library. She also likes to hike, workout, read a good book, cook, and entertain her family!

Sue

Sue began her career in the dental field in 1986 after her graduation from Briarwood College in 1985.Shortly after, Sue began her work with Dr. Veiga in January of 1987- Sue has been a part of  the team since the beginning and continues to be! Sue maintains her good standing with the American Dental Association, as she is an ADA Certified Dental Assistant and CPR Certified. When Sue is not assisting Dr. Veiga in creating beautiful lasting smiles, she enjoys riding her bike, hiking, gardening, and watching the wildlife around her home.

Ida

Ida has been part of Dr. Veiga's team since her first day in 1985. Prior to her start, at Dr. Veiga's office, Ida graduated from Briarwood College with a Degree in Dental Assisting, and has been working in Dentistry for 34 years. Ida is also certified in Radiation and X-Ray, as well as Chairside Assisting, and CPR certified. Outside of the office, Ida enjoys volunteering at the Southbury Animal Shelter and spends her weekends at her cottage in Madison with her husband!
